Mission - Support Native Californian Indian Storytellers
- Honor Our Elders - Pass on Storytelling traditions and culture - Respect family and community - Promote awareness of California Indian Cultures - Work with groups sharing a common vision Goals
- Present our annual storytelling events
- Organize local storytelling venues at museums, conferences, schools, parks, and tribal centers - Develop and implement "Community Oral Heritage" projects, guidelines & workshops - Publish stories or other materials related to storytelling by, for and /or about Native storytellers - Build a collection of materials and recordings of stories and storytellers - Expand participation in CISA to disseminate informaiton and connect all interested people, Indian and non-Indian |
